2008-07-24 - Anetheron movie plus Essence of Souls video

World of Raids recently showed off some new videos they got from the hardworking men and women of the Public Test Realm. Yep, those intrepid adventurers have FRAPS’d even more of their goings-on in Blizzard’s PTR, and we have two videos you can view that show off a kill and a new threat.
On the other hand, our preview video shows off 16 second of World of Warcraft Gold footage of a new threat in the Black Temple. The preview introduces us to the Essence of Souls, a boss that splits into three forms: the Essence of Grief, the Essence of Desire, and the Essence of Pain. They could also do a similar system – and this is more in line with what Kalgan actually said – by keeping stats the way they are and just giving talents to affect them. There was a Shadow Priest talent in the alpha called Growing Pains that worked like this – converting +healing to +damage – though it has been removed in later alpha builds. So maybe you have a talent like "50% of your +healing is also applied as +damage", and one like "150% of your +damage is also applied as +healing." I don't like this approach as much, because it's basically a more cumbersome way of implementing USP, but it could work wow Power level.
For the kill video, we bring you to the Transcended guild of the Blackhand server. They recently managed to kill Anetheron, the second boss at Mount Hyjal, and captured the fight and their kill in its entirety.
