NVC: Hej alle! Jeg er Susanne fra Danmark - jeg har også brugt Ray's gæste-konto. Det ser ud for mig som om oversættelserne har nogle svagheder - for eksempel blev nogle af Pinar's tyrkiske ord slet ikke oversat.  Og på dansk får jeg får jeg at vide (af Jani) at det nye system kun vil være tilgængeligt et par uger. Men generelt er det mere præcist end andre auto-oversættere jeg har set! Og meget spændende, synes jeg!

Jani: Susanne, you are correct, the translation is not perfect. It will improve over time, and it has already come a long way since we started using realtime translations. It is most useful as an enabler of multilingual / multi-cultural communication, not as a tool for accurate translations.

It actually works best with correct spelling, grammar and proper formatting. This is of course impossible on an online forum, but it can be one of the guidelines to help others understand better. For example, if you add a space after the full stop character in Pinar's message, the result is much better:

NVC: Voor mij blijft NVC een bijzondere taal. Ik heb het afgelopen jaar groepen meegemaakt in 3 landen. Er zijn verschillen. Er zijn ook veel overeenkomsten. En de belangrijkste overeenkomst is, dat er zoveel mensen empathisch kunnen luisteren. Dat vind ik heel bijzonder.

NVC: My own translation: To me NVC remains a very special language. In the last year I've been with groups in 3 countries. There are differences. There are also many similarities. And the biggest similarity is, that there are so many people that can listen empathically. I find that to be very special.
