 在14000多名工人历经5年夜以继日的苦干加巧干后，耗资140亿美元打造的全球首个棕榈叶形状岛屿———迪拜“朱美拉棕榈岛”第一阶段建设即将完工，首批4000位岛民有望今年11月份入住这个号称“世界第八大奇迹”的人工岛。 全岛将有6万多户居民 2001年开工的“朱美拉棕榈岛”是世界上最大的陆地改造项目之一，它由一个像棕榈树干形状的人工岛、17个棕榈树形状的小岛以及围绕它们的环形防波岛三部分组成。预计2010年才能完全完工的“朱美拉棕榈岛”将被建成一座海上城市，全岛将有6万多户居民，5万多名服务人员分布在全岛32家旅馆，数十座商场以及游乐场所为岛民提供各种服务。 据开发该项目的棕榈集团总裁苏尔坦·艾哈迈德·本·苏莱姆介绍，“朱美拉棕榈岛”上桥梁、灌溉网络、自来水输送网、天然气管道、通讯、卫生系统、电网、公路、海洋俱乐部、消防系统、通往外围环形岛屿等设施应有尽有。 |
