I heard that people think that chinese is hard to learn.
As a chinese teacher, I cannot understand why it is so hard to learn madrine。
Do any one have trouble in learning madrine?

Mandarin 'looks' scary to foreigners, I think. The language is *completely* to English or other European languages. If you are an English speaker and want to learn Italian, German, Swedish or French, etc, then there are lots of similarities - one can recognise some words, using a similar alphabet.

With Chinese, however, there is no chance of having a clue about anything at the start, so I guess some people are scared by the language. Some languages are harder to learn than others, but if we practice we will learn to speak and read and write in any language. 对不对?

Sorry, I meant to say "The language is *completely* DIFFERENT to English or other European languages..."smiley
