Personally I love them both because I always feel so feminine in them

Heels lets me stand proud and tall plus my bf likes them on me (a lot)

while flats lets me be as natural as I can be without any worries

On me, I prefer flats simply because I'm taller than I'd like (5'10") and I don't want to be any taller, although kitten heels are ok. But in general, I love them both, and it depends on the outfit, etc.

Flats allways flats. I never liked heels. In fact I call them ugly shoes. And they are not god for bothj the knees and the feet. I worked in a hospital where the woman where operated for problems with feet, and 95% where relatadet to the shoes. But when I grew in to sice 36 there where not much choice. Now in this days you have the choice.
I go flat and we (my knees my feet and I) love it.
