INTERNATIONAL THINKING  AT ITS BEST!

Question: What is the truest definition of Globalization?

Answer: Princess Diana's death.

Question: How come?

Answer: An English princess

with an Egyptian boyfriend

crashes in a French tunnel,

driving a German car

with a Dutch engine,

driven by a Belgian who was drunk

on Scottish whisky, (check the bottle before you change the spelling)

followed closely by Italian Paparazzi,

on Japanese motorcycles;

treated by an American doctor,

using Brazilian medicines.

This is sent to you by an American,

using Bill Gate's technology,

and you're probably reading this on your computer,

that use Taiwanese chips,

and a Korean monitor,

assembled by Bangladeshi workers

in a Singapore plant,

transported by Indian lorry-drivers,

hijacked by Indonesians,

unloaded by Sicilian longshoremen,

and trucked to you by Mexican illegals.....

That, my friends, is Globalization

Very funny, I loved it! Just a quick question not even related to this... why do some people put "laa..." What is laaa? Is it slang in another lanuage or something? Sorry to get off topic, nice post!

"la" is what Chinese like to say at the end of a sentence. It doesn't really mean anything, it's just cute. I am not 100% sure but I believe "laa" is the same as "la".

You could also say "ba" which would mean, "right?" or "huh?", with the assumption that the other person agrees... like "sexy girls ba" ... or you could say "ma" if you were asking a question and wanted an answer... basically you just put the suitable word at the end of the sentence as a cute little extra. These are not as common as "la" but I've seen them used in MSN messenger discussions, etc...
