Only the first time... otherwise you'd be up all night long changing your face photo and then collect a free game in the morning. It would be irresponsible to make kids stay up all night long like that...

But having a nice face photo and nice home space you might get more visitors to your own page... in case you didn't know, you get 1000 points every time someone goes to your page and joins the site! You don't even need to know who they are. It's basically the same as if you introduced them as a friend. Good face photo makes more people want to visit the site, a nice site design makes them also want to get a page of their own and join up... makes sense?
