2008-04-1 - A bit busy...The last 2 days rushed away so fast...
On Monday I went to work to the office, and in the afternoon to the university to attend my courses. I'm so glad to have this new course: European Common Foreign and Security Policy, it's very intresting and important these days...
By the way check this out: It's a great animation, I wish I had this idea...I hope it also makes you think how sensless wars are!
Then after the courses I went to by some concert tickets to Tiketti. Ooh Lykke Li's gig is gonna be great next Monday
Then I took the train back home, and made this picture out from the window cause the sunset was beautiful once again:
After getting home I made some dinner and ate with my flatmate, and we chatted a lot, as always. It's a great pleasure to have a flatmate who is at the same time your dearest friend!
Then before getting a good sleep (I slept normally now, from about 1 am till 9am, so 8 hours. This shows that the jet leg is over, hurray ) I translated some stuff up here. Online work really fits me, it gives you a freedom how to use your time!
On Tuesday I went to the tee night to discuss the trip to Tartu, so now I know what the plan exactly is. I really wait for Friday.
And then while walking home again I met a very intesting person, who was actualy looking for a pharmacie (got injured shortly while snowboarding) and asked for instructions. But since it was around 10 pm I told him, that the only pharmacie that is open 24/7 is in the downtown. I could really tell he had some serious pain, so I asked what kind of medicine he'd need. Just some painkiller he said. He was with a bike, and that was lucky cause I'm sure he'd have been unable to walk...
So finaly it turned out, he is living at the same suburb as I do, so we walked (well he rode) home and I gave him some of my painkillers. It felt good to help someone
And now it's already Wednesday and I go and get some sleep...Good night!
Anna (2008-04-11) I´m just about to write all that on my blog: Tartu was sooo nice, I think I will once live there also for a while studying languages at the "Universitas Tartuensis" My friends who moved there are most probably staying cause they just can't imagine coming back to Finland.
Well, then Lykke Li's concert was canceled but yesterday I went to Tavastia to listen to Anna Järvinen, and I must say that perhaps this was a better option anyway!
Ooh and I didn't actually let the guy into my house cause he couldn't walk up the stairs with that injury, so he was waiting in the yard as I fetched the medicines for him But actually I think I would have let him in...we started talking as old friends from he first minute, maybe that's why. And to reveal the whole secret, in the next days he wanted me to visit him as he was at his home, getting better. So it was he who let me in into his home And now that he is healthy again he's been asking me out...So the last week has gone very quickly, so much has happened!
Oh I bet living in the U.S. for a longer period has really an effect on how you think about certain things! I can tell that by looking at my brother, but well, that's life and that's the world. It would be a boring place if the countries had no such differences.
So, now I put some info up on the blog and rush to my week-end trainings in Porvoo!
I hope you and your family is doing very well too. Hups, ja tajuan nyt, että lähetän tämän kuitekin "private message" muodossa, ett oisin ihan hyvin voinut kirjoitella suomeksi! No, ei tää erehdys ole vaarallista :D

Jani (2008-04-10) So how was Tartu? And how was Lykke Li?
I can't believe you picked up a stranger from the street and let him in your home! Or have I just been living too long time away from Finland? Perhaps it's only a crazy thing to do in the US... very nice of you though!
